My Review on Ka’chava’s Meal Replacement – Is It Worth It? (2022)
Let me start my review of Kachava by first letting you guys know, I have been using Ka'chava (the vanilla flavor) for the greater part of 2 years now and it has been a freaking godsend for me.
I live a busy lifestyle and needed the nutrition that would give me an edge but I did, and still don't, have the time to cook home cook meals all the time.
I needed something that would allow me to stay in shape and on the go. And for me it was either fast food or a meal replacement.
Losing weight, staying in shape, and getting fit the healthy way is and will always remain one of my top priorities.
And of course, yeah yeah, I know...Numerous health programs and professionals have always advised that aside from exercise, sitting down to enjoy healthy foods is always the best approach towards my quest for healthy weight loss and fitness.
But in this day and age, it’s simply hard to catch a breather, what more to prep my own food or have a sit-down meal? When life really gives you lemons, eh?
That’s when I started my search for the next best thing: a healthy meal replacement that’s not only packed with nutrients but will also guarantee that it won’t undo my hard work trying to shed the pounds.
My search took me on a journey that had its ups and downs. Admittedly, I tried at least one meal replacement product out there that made me nauseous throughout the day.
A few other products I tried either didn’t work or made me gain even more weight (and I’m not talking about muscle).
And for those that don't like to read and would want to go ahead and check them out.
You can check Ka'chava's customer reviews and price on amazon by clicking here.
But hey, if you are a first time customer I recommend buying from Ka'chava's website. They sell it cheaper than you can find it anywhere else. You can use this link here to get the cheapest price.

Thanks to all that suffering though, I learned a great deal by scouring the internet smartly and talking to people with authority about the right amount of ingredients as well as the kind of ingredients a meal replacement product should have.
From all the essentials I picked up, the most important was that every serving should have:
- Not more than 9 grams of sugar
- The daily value of vitamins and minerals should be more than 30%
- 2 to 4.5 grams of fat per serving
- More than 2 grams of fiber and
- Not less than 10 grams of protein. Preferably 15 or more but I am willing to trade protein for dense high nutrient profiles. Or in other words, super health.
And being equipped with the right knowledge and some common sense that I didn’t use the last few times, I finally found Ka’Chava.

What is Ka'chava Anyway and What’s All The Hype About?
Ka’chava came from a Mayan word that translates to earth. Decided upon by the creators of Ka’chava as a dedication to where a number of the meal replacement shake’s primary ingredients are found: South America.
The plant-based protein blend was the brainchild of a bunch of super friends who wanted to create a super on-the-go meal from superfoods.
This meal replacement needed to have the right balance of essentials our bodies require such as fiber, proteins, and good fat in order to promote healthy living and curb pesky hunger cravings. All this while having no additives or sweeteners.
If you check their website, Ka’chava claims to be “THE CLEANEST, MOST NUTRIENT-DENSE MEAL IMAGINABLE.”
It goes on to say Ka’chava is “on a mission to empower healthy lifestyles by bringing together all the best superfoods into a single, ready-to-go meal.”
And that no matter how busy life gets, Ka’chava helps you stay healthy no matter what.
I bought it, tasted it and It's tasted surprisingly good.
And now you can see why I have a slight bias, because it really does taste that good.
It’s official: I have finally found a meal replacement that I was looking for. One that would allow me to get all of the nutrients and vitamins that I needed and more, and would not require me to make a meal.
I was on the go most of the time so I needed something quick. Ka’chava was my answer. Finally. Literally tried over 5 of these meal replacements without any success.
Ka’chava is one of the most energizing and powerful superfoods to date and from my personal experience I can attest to that. I am still using them and it has been over 2 years for me. If you're looking for a meal replacement for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a quick pick me up at any time of the day, this is it.
Made from more than 30 natural plant ingredients, it can help keep your energy levels up, curb your hunger, help you focus, and improve digestive health.
Now, that’s a superfood!
And that fact that you do not have to cook a meal, is the biggest bonus.
What's in Ka'chava's Meal Replacement That Makes It So Great?
Ka’chava’s meal replacement is a superfood meal replacement that’s on the top of its game not only being vegan-friendly but also a breath of fresh air for those sensitive with gluten, soy, and dairy.
What’s more, it has zero artificial ingredients and preservatives. For those of you looking for a meal replacement shake or protein powder for sensitive stomach, this one should give you the perfect option.
Ka'chava is the ideal blend of superfoods that can nourish and sustain your body throughout the day. This is what has allowed me to put in the longer hours than I typically would be able to without it.
It's made out of 100% high-quality ingredients that are blended together to create this big on-the-go meal shake that keeps you in tip-top shape.
If you remember the things I listed that were vital when it comes to choosing quality meal replacement shakes, let me tell you that Ka’chava completes that checklist.
The Nitty Gritty of Ka'chava
Not more than 9 grams of sugar? Check! Ka’chava only has 6 grams of it.
The daily value of vitamins and minerals should be more than 30%? Check! Most of them go way beyond 30% of our daily recommended intake.
2 to 4 grams of fat per serving? Check! Just made it to the 4.5-gram mark!
More than 2 grams of fiber? Check! A serving of Ka’chava gives you 9 grams of this baby.
Not less than 10 grams of protein? Check and check! Ka’chava provides a whopping 25 grams of good protein.
Considering how expensive protein powders can get, you will be thankful to have a meal replacement shake that gives you this much protein.
Among the different Kachava alternatives that I have compared before like Vega One & Orgain, Shakeology & Herbalife, Slimfast & Nutrisystem, Soylent & Huel, Huel is one that is pretty much as healthy, but packs a bit more protein, as you can see in our Kachava Vs Huel showdown.
But that's not a problem, there still are different Ka'chava recipes that you can make to add to the nutrients.
The Superfoods Found in Ka'chava
Aside from those, it’s worthy to point out some superfoods that are found in Ka’chava’s meal replacement shake. I think it’s important to highlight their benefits so you’d know whether Ka’chava gives you more bang for your buck.
This Brazilian superfruit has numerous health and wellness benefits. It is low in sugar content and rich in various essential nutrients such as fatty acids such as palmitic, oleic, and linoleic acids, antioxidants.
A grain that was part of the staple diet of the Aztecs, it’s high in protein while being gluten-free. Filled with all 9 essential amino acids, it’s also packed with iron, calcium, magnesium, and fiber.
We’ve all heard of these tiny seeds. What few people know is that ancient warriors used to eat them for increased energy and endurance. Chia is a rich source of magnesium, calcium, protein, manganese, omega 3, vitamins B1, B2, B3, zinc, and potassium.
While consuming algae might not be the first thing that will cross your mind when you think about healthy eating, chlorella is chock full of nutrients. It contains omega 3s, vitamin B12, all the 9 essential amino acids, vitamin C, iron, zinc, fiber, copper, folic acid, B vitamins, and antioxidants. It can help detoxify your body from all those toxins stuck inside.
A miracle fruit, it is symbolic of all things beautiful. Coconuts are known to be high in fat and low in carbs. Your body converts the fat found in coconuts into energy.
Aside from this, the coconut is a rich source of protein, fiber, magnesium, and a lot more highly needed nutrients.
The maqui berry is a super fruit that is a natural and rich source of antioxidants. It’s rich in vitamins such as Vitamin E and C, as well as, potassium, iron, calcium, and fiber.
A powerful adaptogen, the maca root enhances mental focus and memory, increases endurance, and helps to reduce stress.
Ka’chava’s website gives us an in-depth look at all the ingredients infused in their meal replacement shake and they meant it when they said they wanted to empower healthy lifestyles despite being on the go.
- Early to work but no time to prepare food? Have a Ka’chava meal replacement shake for breakfast to give you the energy you need to survive the day.
- No time to go out and grab lunch? Grab a Ka’chava shake on the go during lunch to keep yourself from going hangry and control any unwanted food cravings that might occur later in the day.
- Strength Training or Working out? Ka’chava’s got your back! With 25 grams of protein, the right fats, and the right amount of carbs you really can not ask for a better post workout shake to help with recovery.
Ka’chava is a no-nonsense, safe, and versatile meal replacement shake. Just add two heaping scoops of Ka’chava with water and replace any meal of the day.
Are They Safe?
In general, most meal replacement shakes are safe for consumption. Especially the products of today which are steadily being customized towards an organic and healthy lifestyle. I have share several other similarly healthy meal replacements, including Soylent and Ensure, as well as other Soylent alternatives.
Though few shakes on the market may contain a mix of healthy and less healthy ingredients, reviews say there isn’t really anything in meal replacement products that make them dangerous for us to consume.
Ka’chava is especially safe. You are basically just consuming superfoods mixed into a good tasting shake blend.
Ka’chava is a blend of plant-based protein and superfoods which is designed to be a full balanced meal.
It’s filled with all the vital macronutrients, minerals, and vitamins that your body needs without any harmful additives and fillers that can cause not only weight gain but potential harm.
But only drinking shakes all day and taking nothing else is not something that I would recommend. Despite the product name “Meal Replacement Shake,” they’re not meant to replace all three square meals!
Ka’chava strongly advises their customers to not replace all their meals with their meal replacement shake no matter how good it tastes.
You should get your nutrients from a wide variety of healthy sources.
Will I get enough protein?
At least 10 to 15 grams of protein for one meal is recommended by professionals to be taken every day. Ka’chava passes this test by providing 25 grams of protein per serving of their meal replacement shake.
This is very similar to that of a protein shake, which makes it a perfect option for post recovery protein shake. What makes picking protein powders a bit tricky is figuring out which one has the ingredients you want or lacks some that you don't want.
There are protein powders without whey, and powders without creatine. Creatine in particular has been a concern for most fitness diehards, the substance has been claimed to cause weight gain, and there has been a heated debate on whether creatine is good for women and whether it's safe to use the supplement on off days.
With Ka'chava giving you a good deal of this essential macro, you won't have to scratch your head trying to figure out which protein powder to go for.
What's the Best Flavor of Ka'chava?
Ka’chave comes in two different flavors: Vanilla and Chocolate.
I have and use both flavors. I personally like the Vanilla the best because It allows me to mix it with so many different things. I like the chocolate as well, I mostly drink the chocolate on it’s own, usually after my workouts.
I can’t tell you which flavor you will like best, but if you’re looking for something sweet and rich then chocolate is for you! Otherwise, if you’re looking for something mild and creamy or an awesome base for creating new flavors, then vanilla is the way to go.
Whichever you choose, you’re sure to like the taste of both knowing they’re organic and natural.
Is Ka'chava Meal Replacement Good for Weight Loss?
Ka’chava is highly effective for weight loss and management if you take it in place of food or meals that are less healthy or have higher calories.
Ka’chava fills you up quickly without any bloating.
Ka’chava’s site is straightforward about this saying that their meal replacement shake is not designed for any quick-fix diets, but when taken in place of a meal, is very good for weight loss.
Their natural and high-quality ingredients keep you energized and helps stave off any disastrously unhealthy cravings in between meals. Taking Ka’chava is one of the best supplements to a healthy diet.
Of course, if you want to speed up your weight loss, adding a safe workout regimen does help. And no, you don't need any costly weight loss cardio machines for this.
However, if you already have a home gym setup with such equipment as elliptical machine, rowing machine, treadmill or exercise bike, you can achieve controled weight loss without causing loose skin.
FAQs About Ka'chava’s Meal Replacement
Does Ka'chava Have Caffeine?
Yes, Ka’chava does have Caffeine but it’s from the natural superfoods not the more concentrated caffeine anhydrous or any artificially added one.
Ka’chava has mentioned that they don't add additional caffeine to their products.
But the chocolate flavor they offer does include cocoa powder in their ingredients. Cocoa powder carries low levels of naturally occurring caffeine.
Ka’chava has stated that the Chocolate Ka’chava has small amounts of caffeine in it. If you’re abstaining from all caffeine, it’s recommended you try the Vanilla flavor instead. If you want just a tiny bit of caffeine then the chocolate is going to be the best option for you.
Is Ka’chava Certified Organic?
According to their website, Ka’chava can’t claim that its products are 100% certified organic for several reasons but their team is working hard to get the certification soon.
They insist that Ka’chava only chooses and uses organic ingredients whenever available and that at least 28 ingredients are certified organic.
The rest are organically grown but are not yet certified due to the long and expensive process that small farmers (their suppliers) have to go through to get the certification.
Is Ka'chava Vegan?
Ka’chava maintains that its ingredients are plant-based, gluten-free, soy free, dairy free, VEGAN, with no artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors, and no preservatives have been added to any of their products.

All the ingredients listed in Ka’Chava’s products are Gluten-Free in accordance with FDA specifications.
Ka’chava states that they test every batch of their finished products as part of their Certificate of Analysis.
In addition to that, they also have an independent, third-party labs test and verify from time to time for added assurance.

My Final Thoughts on Ka'Chava
The person that Ka’chava is best for is someone who is on the go, has a busy lifestyle, or simply just does not want to have to a very time consuming meal but wants to get the most out of their life by getting all of the nutrients and vitamins that Ka’chava offers from their superfood meal replacement shake.
If you’re on a particular diet and are currently looking for a meal replacement drink that is packed with so many superfoods without any harmful additives and fillers, then Ka’chava meal replacement is the one for you.
It is safe in all possible ways and can definitely aid you in achieving your health goals without compromising time and effort.
It doesn’t stop at you just being healthy, though. It also keeps you active throughout the day, helps you manage and maintain your body weight, and effectively controls any hunger cravings.
So if you’re a first-time buyer of meal replacement shakes and you’re still looking for “the one,” consider Ka’chava! You might find it the perfect meal replacement for your health goals. If you don't then try out some of the many Ka'chava and Huel alternatives to see if one of them is a winner.
